Creative with a critical media background

I’m a graphic designer and printmaker with a critical media research background. I’ve designed in-house, freelance, and carve punny prints by hand as a side hustle. I’ve worked with international foundations, universities, start-ups, podcasts, and more. While I have been known to get vehement when sighting Papyrus in the wild, I’ve also spent a lot of time thinking critically about our media landscape, and attempting in small ways to make it better.

Raised at sea level in the Deep South, I’m currently based about 5,000 ft higher in Boulder, CO, where I found myself after getting a Master’s degree in Media and Public Engagement from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Prior to that I did a stint with AmeriCorps VISTA in Jackson, after graduating with a communications degree from Millsaps College. Other hats I’ve worn include being a researcher, event photographer, teaching assistant, volunteer manager, event planner, administrative assistant, elementary school mural painter, sales representative, and sno-ball slinger.

Outside of design, some of the things I love include  riding bikes, making cocktails, my cat, Shrek (and Shrek II), and all the glorious trash animals.
